CAD Technology
Computer Aided Design (CAD) involves using a computer to design three dimensional models that will facilitate the long-standing axiom of "measure twice, cut once". By providing 'exploded' drawings with detailed parts lists, the woodworker is set free to pay attention to milling and assembling rather than continually remeasuring and recalculating 'on the fly'.
This page will be developed at a future date along with a few examples. It will start with information about the computer aided design software application called SketchUp.
